Does anyone want an Andrew Bird badge?
These are to promote his show in Glasgow on the 8th of June. And I have about 6 to give away. If you’re going to the show and want one “reserved” (?) then send an ask my way. :)

Today me and Adam walked to the Merchant City and back and I bought 2 of these lovely bits of card. It made me realise how little I’ve actually been there (because being dragged to Luke and Jack’s and Delmonica’s on your 18th isn’t exactly the main attraction of the area.) Then we went to Mono and had an icecream sundae each and then we looked at the zine (“What’s a zyne?” - Adam) exhibitiony shop they have there. Then we walked home but I was annoying and dragged Adam into different shops and wouldn’t shut up until he threatened to push me in front of a car. I also saw Josie Long walking towards me with a massive backpack but I didn’t say hello because she’d walked passed me and also I got frightened. Then I came home and opened my window and blind and cleaned mould while everyone who walked passed watched and I felt like I was in a weird art exhibition. It would be titled Young Adult Cleans Mould, Doesn’t Want To Live There (2012). It’s been a good day.

On Tuesday I received this album - a late but much appreciated birthday present. Though I’d be struggling to not download the leak and to listen to it as soon as I downloaded it I didn’t. David (the present-giver) told me to wait. And I did… until now, Sunday night. This was for a number of reasons.
With only one person in the room (who has seen me cry for a number of ridiculous reasons before) who has given me his much better earphones for this album only and even though I kind of have an essay to write, I’m finally ready to hit the play button. And I’m going to write about it like a twat. PS I know next to nothing about music, I just like it. Here we go!

This song holds so much significance for me. I don’t know why. I just feel uplifted and so much happier and sleepy than before when I listen to it. I assume this is a feeling only I get and I can’t understand how no one else feels the same. It just flows out of him with so much energy and passion and you don’t have to be watching him to realise that. I love Plasticities, I love Andrew Bird. My favourite song, my favourite whistler.

(via laurynb)My favorite song of the night. It is a new song. I have no idea what it is called, but it was BEAUTIFUL. I wish I had an MP3 of it.
